Be sure to ask your student about some of the chemical tests we've been doing at school. We have 5 unknown "chemicals" (all safe, I promise!) and we are testing them with water, vinegar, iodine, heat, and red cabbage juice and observing reactions. Your student should be able to explain what reactions they have observed! We will put it all together soon and look at our evidence and figure out which chemical is which!
We were so lucky to have Evey's grandmother and grandfather come in and do a literature art lesson with us. We started by reading the book Roxaboxen which is a super cute book about having a space in a community. Then, we used various supplies to make our own little spot in our Roxaboxen community. We had some crazy creative art projects! Check out the cute pictures! Last week, we took an awesome trip to the ESSL. We look at a lot of different components of our science curriculum; in particular, we focused a lot on living organisms and fossils. Check out some of our awesome pictures from our trip! |
